Recycling Run

Yesterday, I was able to finally make a recycling run. What that is where I load up all the recyclables I'd been saving for the last 4 or 5 months and drop them off at the recycling depot in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The people who pick up the trash in the apartment complex where I live don't have a separate bin for recyclables. Rather than have them go into a landfill, I separate them and take them to the nearest recycling depot. It's my little bit for the environment.

Recycling Depot

I did my quarterly trip to the Glen Burnie, Maryland recycling depot today. It's my bit for the environment. I took a load of cardboard, paper, cans, jars and plastic bottles and jugs to the depot. I had enough to fill up the trunk of my car and the back seat. I wish I could drop the stuff off here in Laurel but because of the trash collection rules, I have to drive to the depot in Glen Burnie. I think it's a little messed up. Anyway, it was nice to do my bit for the environment.

Recycling

I did my little bit for the environment yesterday. I finally loaded up my car with all the plastic bottles and jugs, fliers, glass jars and cardboard I've been saving and drove to the Glen Burnie Recycling Depot. There I dropped the stuff off so it could be recycled. It wasn't much but at least the stuff didn't end up in a landfill. I was also able to get rid of a broken VCR, an ancient 28.8K modem, my broken digital camera and a semi-broken CD player that I've been meaning to get rid of. I figured it would be better to get rid of those at the depot vice putting them in a dumpster. Hopefully, they can salvage the metal in them at least.
